For the best and most consistent results, we recommend a heat press. A household iron may not give the even pressure and steady temperature a DTF transfer needs to adhere properly. Marie Gems DTF transfers are pressed at 320°F for approximately 15 seconds and are cold peel.

DTF transfers are designed for fabric and apparel, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, tote bags and other compatible textiles. They are not the same as sublimation transfers or UV DTF decals, so we don't recommend regular DTF transfers for mugs, tumblers, cups or wood. For drinkware, use a product and application method made for that surface.

Keep unused transfers flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. A sealed bag or container helps protect them from humidity and dust. DTF transfers don't have a simple universal expiration date, but poor storage, especially moisture, extreme temperatures or humidity, can affect how well they press. We recommend using them sooner rather than storing them indefinitely.

It can. Polyester is more sensitive to heat than cotton, and some polyester garments can scorch, discolor or show dye migration at higher temperatures. Always check the garment maker's heat recommendations and test first when you can. Our standard pressing instructions are 320°F for approximately 15 seconds, cold peel, but heat-sensitive fabrics may need adjustments.

DTF transfers are meant to be a permanent application, so they aren't designed to come off easily once properly pressed. Some methods and products may loosen the adhesive, but they can also discolor or damage the garment and may leave adhesive or an outline behind. If a transfer was applied incorrectly by accident, replacing the garment is often the cleanest option.

DTF stands for Direct-to-Film. The design is printed with specialized DTF inks onto transfer film, including a white ink layer that keeps designs vibrant on both light and dark garments. A hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the printed design and cured. During pressing, heat and pressure activate that adhesive and bond the design to the fabric.

Yes. Our bulk pricing is our wholesale pricing. You can order 5, 10 or 20 of a design at a lower price per transfer, and each product page shows the price for every quantity.

Yes. If you are local to Wichita, you can pick up your order. The pickup address is not posted publicly. After you place your order, Marie Gems emails you the address once your order is ready for pickup.

Yes. Your transfer will be printed using the artwork you submitted or the design shown in the listing. Please keep in mind that colors can vary slightly between what you see on a phone or computer screen and the finished DTF transfer, because screens display color differently than printed ink. We do our best to keep colors, details and sizing consistent with the original design. If you're ordering for a brand or project where an exact color match is especially important, contact us before ordering so we can discuss it.
